Welcome to my website!
I am a Postdoctoral Research Scholar for CESR at USC and UW - Milwaukee. I am also a RCMAR Scholar with the Minority Aging Health Economics Research Center at the USC Schaeffer Center, plus a Faculty Affiliate with the Georgia Policy Labs at Georgia State University. I earned my Ph.D. in 2019 from the Department of Economics at Tulane University.
I will be joining Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics in Fall 2023.
As an applied microeconomist, my main field of specialization is health economics. My research also extends across the fields of crime, aging, child and family, development, and environmental economics.
My research centers primarily on the study of the effects that public policies, high-profile events, and a changing environment have on individual behaviors.
My ongoing projects focus on the effects of youth sports participation on later in life health outcomes, the effect of indirect exposure to high-profile acts of violence on physical activity, and the effect of cigarette taxes on birth outcomes.
Here is my CV.
